MIGRATE Sonar

Move off Sonar without losing a billing cycle.

ISPbox ships a self-serve Sonar importer: upload your CSV exports and it recreates clients, services, invoices and payments - including automatic payment-to-invoice matching. Test it on a handful of accounts first, then run the full import when the numbers check out.

// self-serve importer in Settings > Imports - test it during the 7-day free trial

01 The migration plan

Three steps, and you can rehearse each one inside a trial workspace before anything touches production.

01

Export your Sonar CSVs

Pull the standard account, service, invoice and payment exports from Sonar. No custom reports needed - the importer reads Sonar's own CSV format.

02

Import - scoped or full

Upload the files in Settings > Imports > Sonar. Limit the run to specific Account IDs to verify a sample first, then re-run for everyone.

03

Verify and go live

Check balances against Sonar, point routers and RADIUS at ISPbox, and start the next billing cycle here.

// recurring Sonar discounts import separately, so promotional pricing survives the move

02 What moves with you

History, not just names and emails.

The importer rebuilds the financial record, so day one in ISPbox looks like year three in Sonar.

Clients and services

Accounts with contact data, addresses and their active services mapped to ISPbox packages.

Invoices and payments

Billing history imports with payments matched to invoices automatically, so balances carry over correctly.

Recurring discounts

A dedicated discount import keeps promotional and loyalty pricing attached to the right accounts.

03 The safety net

Migration fear is normal. The importer is built so you never have to trust it blindly.

Test on real accounts

Scope the import to a few Account IDs, inspect the result, and only then run the rest.

Re-runnable

Imports are idempotent by account - running again updates instead of duplicating.

We stay on the line

Send us your exports and we will sanity-check the mapping before your cutover weekend.
