How ISPbox billing works

Stop running billing from spreadsheets and reminders in your head. ISPbox generates recurring invoices from each subscriber service on the cycle you set, handles proration, tax and late fees, and keeps a running ledger per client so the balance is always right.

Recurring invoices, generated for you

A daily job generates invoices for active services on their monthly billing cycle and advances each service to its next billing date. First cycle proration is configurable, and one off charges can be queued as pending items to land on the next invoice.

Tax, late fees and branded PDFs

Set payment terms, grace period, tax or VAT rate and a late fee percentage per tenant. Overdue invoices can pick up an automatic late fee after grace, and every invoice renders as a branded PDF with your company details and payment instructions, emailed to the customer on generation.

A clean ledger and real statuses

Invoices move through draft, issued, partial, paid, overdue and void, and every charge, payment and adjustment writes a ledger entry with a running balance. That gives you and the customer one trustworthy view of what is owed.

Plan changes, contracts and discounts

A plan change credits the unused part of what the customer was actually invoiced and charges the new plan for the rest of the same period, on a settlement invoice right away or on the next regular invoice, as you prefer. Changes can be scheduled for any future date, and chained: a lower winter rate from November and the regular plan again in April, entered once.

Services can carry a minimum term with automatic renewal and an early termination fee, fixed or per remaining month; an active contract blocks downgrades but not upgrades. Recurring discounts apply to one service or the whole account, as a percentage or a fixed amount, for a set number of months or indefinitely. Invoices can be issued up to 60 days before the renewal date, and a customer with several services can receive one combined invoice.
