Set up SMTP in ISPBox to send system emails, configure sender identity, store credentials securely, and verify delivery with a test email.

Use this guide to configure SMTP sending in ISPBox.

Step 1: Open SMTP settings

  1. Go to Settings -> Mail.
  2. Select the SMTP tab.

Step 2: Fill SMTP fields
Enter:

  • SMTP Host (required)
  • SMTP Port (required, numeric)
  • Encryption (TLSSSL, or None)
  • Username (required)
  • Password

Password rules:

  • Required on first SMTP setup.
  • If password is already stored, you can save other changes without re-entering it.
  • If you click Reset password, you must provide a new password before next save.

Step 3: Save configuration
Click Save mail settings.

Step 4: Configure sender identity (recommended)
In Send-as identity, set:

  • Display name
  • From email address

ISPBox uses this sender for automated emails.

Step 5: Send a test email

  1. In Test email address, enter recipient email.
  2. Click Send test email.

If test fails, check Recent issues in the same page and verify SMTP host/port/encryption/credentials.
