Configure SMTP in ISPBox

Set up SMTP in ISPBox to send system emails, configure sender identity, store credentials securely, and verify delivery with a test email.
Use this guide to configure SMTP sending in ISPBox.
Step 1: Open SMTP settings
- Go to Settings -> Mail.
- Select the SMTP tab.
Step 2: Fill SMTP fields
Enter:
- SMTP Host (required)
- SMTP Port (required, numeric)
- Encryption (TLS, SSL, or None)
- Username (required)
- Password
Password rules:
- Required on first SMTP setup.
- If password is already stored, you can save other changes without re-entering it.
- If you click Reset password, you must provide a new password before next save.
Step 3: Save configuration
Click Save mail settings.
Step 4: Configure sender identity (recommended)
In Send-as identity, set:
- Display name
- From email address
ISPBox uses this sender for automated emails.

Step 5: Send a test email
- In Test email address, enter recipient email.
- Click Send test email.
If test fails, check Recent issues in the same page and verify SMTP host/port/encryption/credentials.
