Audit Log
ISPBox's automatic record of who did what: staff and System actions with field-level diffs, powerful filters by person, action and date, and how it doubles as a troubleshooting tool.
The audit log is ISPBox's automatic record of who did what. Every meaningful action - creating, editing or deleting records, plus logins - is written here with the exact fields that changed, so you always have an answer to "who touched this, and when". It needs no setup; it records everything as it happens.
1. Opening it
Go to Audit Logs in the main navigation (it needs the audit log view permission). Entries are listed newest first, across the whole panel.
2. What each entry shows
Every row has five columns:
- When - date and time of the action.
- Who - the staff member who did it, or System for automated actions (a scheduled job, an auto-throttle, and so on).
- Action - what happened, e.g. Auth Login, Package Created, a client update, a payment.
- Target - the record it affected, e.g. Package: Residential 200/40.
- Changes - the field-level diff: for a creation or edit it lists the values that were set or changed, so you can see precisely what was written.
3. Finding a specific action
The filters at the top narrow the list fast:
- Person - only actions by a particular staff member (or System).
- Action - only one type of action.
- Date range - a From/To range, or the quick Today / 7d / 30d / Month buttons.
- Search - by client or action text.
Combine them - for example, everything one technician did in the last 7 days - to answer a question in seconds.
4. Why it matters
Because the log captures both staff and System actions with full field diffs, it doubles as a troubleshooting tool: if a client's price, package or status looks wrong, the audit log shows who changed it and to what - whether that was a person or an automated rule like dunning or FUP.
